Who we are...
In December 1998, Kay retired form the Alief Independent School District where she was a middle school counselor. She is active in many volunteer activities including The Fort Bend Women's Shelter, CanCare of Houston, a non-profit cancer support network, and in various activities at our church home.
In 2011, Kay started a new business, Cook Counseling. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Anger Resolution Therapist and has a special interest in working with children eight years through pre-adolescence who are experiencing difficulties related to divorce or death of parents, relocation, socialization, classroom adjustment or health issues.
In October 1998, Lawson retired from the Texas Instruments' Stafford site, where he was an electrical engineering manager. He is active as webmaster for the TI Retiree Club of Houston, licensed as Amateur Radio operator N5ATT, and active in various duties at our church home.
We are members of Second Baptist Church in Houston and attend at the West campus. Kay teaches Bible Study for youth, and is a member of the choir. Lawson volunteers as a video engineer for the television ministry at the Woodway campus. You can visit the radio and television ministry of Second Baptist Church at The Winning Walk home page.
We listen to Christian Radio in Houston at 105.7 FM. You can hear KHCB on the Web for Biblical teaching and beautiful music: KHCB-FM.

What we like to do...
Our Recreational Vehicle (RV) Storybook
We enjoy getting out and experiencing God's beautiful creation as much as possible using our 5th wheel trailer. Our equipment: A 1999 Ford F250 XLT 5.4L SEFI Triton V8, automatic transmission, 3.73 axle ratio & a 2002 Glendale Titanium 24E29 5th wheel. The trailer is a 2005 replacement for our old 1999 Wilderness 821-5B 5th wheel. (Location: Davis Mountains of West Texas)
